Lukáš Sommer – musical composer
Katerina was born in Znojmo. First musical studies began at the Elementary School of Arts in Hrušovany nad Jeviškou. In 1998, she enrolled into the Brno Conservatoire, into a class of prof. Petr Kolář, from which she graduated in 2004 performing a final concert in the Besední House. In the same year, she was accepted into the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU), a class of Doc. Jaroslav Tůma, where she successfully graduated perfoming bachelor concert.
Kateřina went in year 2008 for educational fellowship to Musik Hochschule Lübeck under Prof. Arvid Gast, where performed on several concerts e.g. St. Jakobi-kirche and many more.
She Graduated performing masters concert at HAMU in 2010 within the cycle of concerts "The best ones" accompanied by the North Czech Philharmonic in a concert in g moll by F. Poulenc in Teplice.
Katerina performed on the Minifestival Kabeláč & Messiaen concerts of contemporary music. Participated in many master courses of foremost organ music performers such as Marie Claire Alain, Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, Andreas Schröder, Jon Laukvik, Martin Sander, Matthias Maierhofer, Martin Schmeding, Pier Damiano Peretti a Gustav Leonhardt.
Nowadays running solo career, performing on festivals like International music festival of Eduard Nápravník, Podblanick autumn, European organ festival in Kremnica in Slovakia, Štětsk organ autumn, Suk`s musical Štiřín and many more across the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
She cooperated with Atlantis orchestra, ČNSO-Czech National symphony Orchestra, Bohuslav Martinů philharmonic, Collegium magistrorum Mikulov. Active performance with violin master Alexey Aslamas. Together with him making lectures including concert of contemporary music for elementary & music schools across all the Czech republic, teaching, interpreting contemporary compositions, doing chamber music production and lecturing at musical schools. She desires to promote organ music, so in the summer of 2016 she coordinated a series of concerts in the chapel in chateau Lednice and in December concept concert with the choir and orchestra. She also focuses the interpretation of contemporary music, chamber music and lectures for the music school. She always wants to promote organ music, so in the summer of 2016 and 2017 she organized a series of concerts in the castle chapel in Lednice na Moravě and since 2016 she regularly organizes Advent and three kings concerts with a choir and orchestra in South Moravia. In 2020, she performed as a soloist with the Sedunum String Orchestra at concerts in Switzerland. She is the founder of the newly established international music festival "Silberbauer's Music Festival" in South Moravia and Lower Austria.
